You are invited to watch the daily Jr. Fair horse shows in the outside show arena. The English horse and pony shows feature our Jr. Fair horsemen and women riding English as they compete.
OPEN STALLED DRAFT HITCH
Thurs., Aug. 1
Only draft horses and draft ponies who are stalled at the fair and stay all week are exhibited in these classes. You will see single carts, teams, and multiple hitches as these horses perform for trophies and prizes.
MINI HORSE SHOW
Sun., Aug. 4
The small mini-horses and ponies are exhibited on Sunday of the fair. These are the smallest members of the horse and pony breeds and always a horse show highlight.
Tues., July 30
The Jr. Fair horse shows are daily events. During the western classes, the riders all ride western style using a western saddle as opposed to the English saddle used in other events.
Fri., Aug. 2
The jumping and gymkhana classes are always a hit in the Jr. Fair horse arena. Spectators are able to watch as the Jr. Fair members ride their mounts over jumps and through a designed obstacle course.
Wed., July 31
The walk/trot classes are usually designed for our youngest riders...those not yet ready to canter. Participants are required to only be able to walk and trot their animals.
4-H FUN SHOW
Sat, Aug. 3
The 4-H Horse Fun Show marks the end of the fair week as participants compete in “fun” events like sack races, boot scrambles and team events. Giddyup!
