CRACKER JACK and THE FAMILY FUN CIRCUS

 

 

Daily Fair Hours

Cracker Jack the Clown is back with another exciting family show.  He will be strolling across the fair grounds throughout the day with his buggy and puppets and then present several magic circus-themed shows in the entertainment tent.   Check the daily schedule for exact show times.  On Wednesday and Saturday, he will be creating balloon animals.  You won't want to miss this!

BUBBLE SOCCER AND
EXTREME CORN HOLE

 

1:00-8:00 PM Daily

We are excited to offer FREE bubble soccer and extreme corn hole during fair week.  These attractions are located behind building # 22.  Come and join the fun!

FAIR ROYALTY CONTEST

 

Monday, July 29

7:00 PM

A Medina County Fair King and Queen will be crowned during this event in the pavilion.  Applications are on the fair website and the winning queen will represent the Medina County Fair at the Ohio Fair Manager's Convention in January.

20 HORSES BAND

Tuesday, July 30

8:00 PM

In the pavilion...and free!  The 20 Horses Band has been performing throughout the area with rave reviews.  We welcome them to the stage on Tuesday, July 30.

12:00 PM

Each year we welcome the talented musicians from Medina County who are invited to share their talents as part of the honors band, choir or orchestra.  This free event packs the pavilion so you will want to come early or bring your own chair.

HERITAGE DAY

Friday, August  2

Afternoon

Heritage Day returns to the front of Building # 22.  Come and watch old time crafters at work and purchase some of their wares.  There will be a variety of items demonstrated.

Bring your antique item to Building # 22 and ask the experts!  They can help you identify it and give their insights into its value.  See the 2024 Fair Book for details.

In the pavilion for all of you who want to enjoy worship but are at the fair.  The Northside Christian Church will provide our worship service this year.

WHIZ BANG AND MAD SCIENCE OF NORTHEAST OHIO

 

Daily Fair Hours

Dr. Dave will present more exciting free science shows on Tuesday through Thursday in the pavilion.  Mad Science will be on hand Friday and Saturday to present their science magic. These interactive shows are great family entertainment, and educational as well.  Check the daily schedule for exact times.

VETERAN'S DAY and OPENING CEREMONIES

 

 

 

 

Mon. July 29,   Veteran's Activities

Opening Ceremonies:  5:30 PM

All veterans are free this day with proper ID.  Enjoy talking to the different branches of the military and a little music during the day.  Then join us as we kick off the 2024 fair with our Opening Ceremonies.  All events are free and in the pavilion.

New to the fair is the music of the Third Monkey Band.  They will be rockin it out on the front porch of Building # 22...right in the heart of the midway.  Swing by and check them out!

The band Recess was our winner of the 2023 Battle of the Bands at last year's fair.  We are pleased to have them performing in the pavilion this year and know they will be a hit.

8:00 PM

Enjoy the country sounds of 42 South as they join the Medina County fair family this year.  They will be performing in the pavilion so bring your dancing shoes (or boots)!

THE FARM BUREAU TENT and SCAVENGER HUNT

 

 

Daily Fair Hours

10:00 AM-9:00 PM

The very popular Farm Bureau Tent will be open once again.  Parents can take a break while children play in the corn box, millk the cow, watch the baby chicks, practice their roping and more.  This is also the location to hand in the scavenger hunt forms for a reward. Scavenger Hunt forms can be found at each of the fair entrances.

The Rockers are back on the front porch of Building # 22.  Be sure to enjoy another great year of music located near the midway.

This popular event is back.  There are weight classes for all ages and trophies for the winners.  Registration starts before the event in the pavilion.

WILDERNESS ADVENTURES

 

3:00-7:00 PM (Monday-Saturday)

Back for the second year in a row!  This exciting (and very popular) hands-on event is in the west end of the community center and it's free!  Try your hand at fishing, archery and more.  There are lots of great activities with emphasis on hunting and gun safety, as well as educational presentations throughout the week.   Be sure to stop in.  You won't want to leave. Check the daily schedule for specific presentations.

JR. PRINCE AND PRINCESS CONTEST

This free contest is a great way to kick off the fair!  Young people are invited to apply for the Prince and Princess Contest.  Applications are on the fair website.  This year, there will also be a Jr. Prince and Princess Contest.  The Jr. Contest is at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Prince and Princess at 6:30 in the pavilion.

We loved them last year and they are back!   Performing on the front porch of Building # 22..right in the heart of the concessions.  So grab a sandwich and enjoy the music of the Back Alley Relics!

Hard Hat is made up of a group of Ashland University students and have been performing throughout the area.  We are sure they will bring their youthful energy to the front porch of Building # 22.  Come and enjoy!

Yearbook will take us back to the 60's and 70's as they perform those classics that we remember from years gone by.  They will be performing in the pavilion so plan to take a break and enjoy!

This free event is fun for all ages!   Sign up is free and right before the event starts in the pavilion.  See who can pull a weighted sled the farthest.  Ribbons are awarded.
